A beaded topographical map using a “bead tufting” technique, exploring one corner of the Métis homeland: the St. Laurent area.




I used coloured thread for each section to better blend in better with the stack. This created a pretty interesting effect on the back of the piece. Here are some photos of the unfinished back:
