Jennine, 2023. Seed beads, nylon thread, wire guardians. 10.5 x 5 inches.

This piece is an homage to my mentor and a legendary Métis beadwork artist, Jennine Krauchi.

It is handwoven using ladder stitch and flat herringbone stitch. I used about 25 different shades of size 11 Miyuki beads to create this piece.

This is the second in my Pantheon series, which pays homage to the Métis women who have defined my life.
