Vi Houssin

Elma, 2023. Seed beads, nylon thread, wire guardians. 10.5 x 5 inches.

This piece is an homage to my grandmother and the matriarch of my family, Elma Houssin.

It is handwoven using ladder stitch and flat herringbone stitch. I used about 20 different shades of size 11 Miyuki beads to create this piece.
